Fostering workforce development education for students at the local A-B Tech Community College

The Maple Building of AB Tech housed the Advanced Manufacturing workforce development program. Because of growing demand in this industry, the program expanded into additional floors of the Maple Building that were previously occupied by other departments. These departments were relocated. Critical to the success of Advanced Manufacturing was the need for replicating a workforce environment to train the future workforce. This renovation addressed compliance with ADA and created additional high-bay industrial spaces for manufacturing equipment. Engineering design was critical in ensuring that the building’s infrastructure could support the demands of the program.
