BCS Aquatic Center at Roberson High School
This aquatic center project was the replacement of an aging Buncombe County swimming facility which is used by high school competitive swimmers from several school districts throughout the county. It is located on the campus of TC Roberson High School and will continue to serve many area high school swim teams.
The new facility is 17,300 square feet and houses a 10 lane, 25 yard x 25 meter pool and a spacious spectator seating area. The efficient building design makes use of heat recovery and passive lighting strategies.
The facility is co-managed in partnership with the local YMCA.
