This new wing at the Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital is a historic addition to the hospital in Charleston, SC.

This multi-phased project renovated an over 25-year old labor and delivery unit to provide a calming environment with the highest level of modern technology. The new renovation accommodates mothers in receiving world-class care in a soothing, spa-like atmosphere.

15 existing labor and delivery rooms were combined to create expanded delivery “suites” where family can gather and staff have ample room to provide patient care. 2 Anti-partum rooms and 4 Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) rooms were also included in the renovation, along with the redesign of department nurse stations and staff support spaces. High-end finishes and calming colors were utilized throughout the renovated unit to create a modern and comfortable, hospitality-like feel.
