Flagstaff is a gateway to the Grand Canyon. The site for this Courtyard is on the side of small mountain at the entry of the city. The design customizes, yet modernizes, the theme of the El Tovar Hotel located just up the road at Grand Canyon National Park. The design team successfully coordinated with the City Council and neighborhood groups to create a landmark hotel that has a classic mountain style that will always feel welcome as a retreat in the mountains of Flagstaff.
